Six months after the events of the Canaan Islands, Adol and Dogi reached the Capital of Altago in an attempt to find more adventure. While exploring the town, they get into trouble trying to save two sisters who were being harassed by the local Dragon Knights, which is the army force of Altago. They are thrown into the cells but thanks to their reputation as adventurers, they get a request from the king to help him investigate some strange earthquakes going on lately, as his men have not been able to find anything. On their way, they find out the Five Dragons are awakening once again to prevent a great evil, lending their power to Adol to help stop it.Through this journey, a mercenary previously met by the redhead adventurer appeared again, holding some secrets that, along the way, is discovered by Adol and company as well as having this mercenary join the group for this specific adventure.Later on, mysteries behind the Kingdom of Altago and an ancient village of the land were uncovered, as well as the true reason about why the Five Dragons were waking up. To prevent an evil called "Wind of Destruction", but also called by a specific name... the "Ritual of Demise" and why it was going to happen.
x. Xanadu
Game - Ys vs. Trails in the sky: alternative saga
Transported to a strange realm called "Xanadu", Adol wakes up by a talking pikkard's side. Named "Lappy", Adol's goal was to fight his way to Galsis, the Dragon King that distorted the Laws of Xanadu, and stop him from destroying not only Xanadu but invading other worlds too.Along the way, the redheaded adventurer fought against many people, who had their Laws messed up, and converted them back to his side with the help of Lappy. As he went through the Trechier Woods and the Harlech Ruins, it was brought up that they must find the "Dragonslayer", a legendary sword that was capable of sealing Galsis away until now, and that they must find the "Archmage", a powerful mage that was once the wielder of the legendary blade and sealed the Dragon King away.After reaching the Castle Strangerock, and fighting their way up to the top, after freeing the last warriors, Lappy reveals himself as Michel de Lap Haven, the Archmage that utilized the holy sword to stop the dragon, but also revealed that in his previous fight against it, Galsis purposefully weakened itself to be sealed away, so that one day it would return even stronger.Snapping the Dragonslayer in half, upon thinking victory was his, what the Dragon King little expected was that the true essence of the Dragonslayer existed inside of people: HOPE. After powering up with people's positive energies and hope, Adol Christin seals Galsis away for good, until a possible day in the future when he might come back.Their time is up--all the warriors brought to Xanadu must return to their lands, and with that, the journey in Xanadu ends.

Game - Ys ix: monstrum nox
Northeast of Esteria in the Gllia region under Romun control, Balduq is known as 'the prison city' for its large prison facility inside the town and its architecture featuring high walls as a result of being built upon the fortified era. Furthermore, the city is an important nexus for transportation in the region resulting in a wide range of inns, bars and trade centers. In more recent years public facilities such as theaters and baths are starting to be developed too.In more recent years rumors of beings called "Monstrum" are said to have started appearing creating a huge fuss with its residents. The Monstrum are said to possess unique supernatural abilities, some of them seem to be helping the poor and helpless, others are outlaws up to no good. This dichotomy results in the villagers becoming scared/wary of them.Balduq Prison, located at the edge of the city, supposedly is the largest prison facility of the Romun empire. Originally it was a fortress built to protect the Romun border, it is more recently that it has been repurposed as a prison facility. Featuring only one entrance through a drawbridge and surrounded by steep rock walls and deep moats it is said to be inescapable. The townsfolk do not hold the prison facility in high regard as the facility also is used to detain critics of the empire as does it detain political prisoners.Adol Christin, now 24 years old, with his friend Dogi (29), the redhead is falsely accused of being the prime suspect behind the disappearance of a Romun military fleet during a voyage in the Atlas Ocean. With the aid of a mysterious cloaked female who transformed him into a Monstrum, called the Crimson King, and his new disguise, Adol works to break free from his imprisonment. He can make use of a red and black trajectory that is released from his left hand to traverse to various locations as well as in battle. During the course of the game, he gets caught up in the strange incident involving the cryptic Prison City and the Monstrum. It was Adol's duty to find out the truth behind it all, to break this "curse" called to be a Monstrum.
In his way, he learns and befriends the other 5 Monstrums, White Cat, Hawk, Doll, Raging Bull, and Renegade as well as learning the truth behind the existence of them, and the "Grimwald Nox", that is a place to battle the Lemures, beings born from the negative emotions of the people in Gllia.
